Affiliate networks give backing to The APMA

Eight affiliate networks have signed up as founder members of The Affiliate and Partner Marketing Association, as a show of force ahead of October’s launch.

Adtraction, Affliate Future, Awin, CJ, Optimise, Rakuten, Tradedoubler and Webgains have all pledged their ongoing commitment and investment in the industry by joining The APMA in its early stages.

Occupying the important role of arbiter and gatekeeper to the industry, affiliate networks have traditionally played a vital role in the affiliate marketing ecosystem. Between them, the eight networks account for well over half of the revenue tracked through the affiliate channel via third parties.

The networks have also been instrumental in shaping the code of conduct and first-year roadmap for The APMA, which will see crucial projects in research, training and standards delivered in 2024.

Commenting on CJ’s decision to sign up to The APMA, SVP of CJ UK & Ireland, Linda O’Connell said, “This initiative is a game-changer for the affiliate marketing industry in the UK, and CJ is proud to contribute to its success by being a founding member. Having partnered with Affiliate and Performance Marketing Associations for years across the world, this has allowed us to gain invaluable insights and experience in this industry. The APMA now presents a unique opportunity for us to collaborate, innovate, share and elevate the affiliate and partner marketing sector in the UK. With APMA, we will focus on raising standards, promoting best practices, and contributing to the growth of the industry.”
