Last month we announced our seven-person advisory board as we continue on our mission to promote and advocate for the affiliate and partner marketing industries. The advisory board will play a crucial role in shaping the direction and effectiveness of The APMA, ensuring it serves the needs of its members and the industry as a whole.
In these series of interviews with each member, we wanted to let you get to know them a bit better and showcase why we invited them to be on the board, what they’re most excited about and what they’ll bring to the table. First up is Eitan Jankelewitz.
Tell us a little a bit about you…
I’m a privacy and technology lawyer who’s been advising affiliate businesses for over 15 years, and my firm Sheridans is a technology and media law firm in London and Berlin. Outside of work I’m into cooking, dog walking in the South Downs and pretentious beer.
What made you want to be on the strategic advisor board of The APMA?
I thought it would be a nice way to stay on top of what’s happening in the industry, hopefully help companies make sense of some of the legal and regulatory aspects, and also hang out with people I’ve met over the years.
What do you think you’ll bring to the table? Literally and figuratively!
Figuratively speaking, I can bring some legal insight to the table. Literally speaking, I can bring my firm’s credit card (assuming this table is in a bar).
What is one of the biggest challenges facing the affiliate channel you think we need to solve?
Helping consumers understand that agreeing to attribution cookies in return for free and useful services can be a fair deal for them and for publishers.
What are you most excited about for the future of The APMA and its members?
I think the industry will benefit if stakeholders work together and The APMA is well placed to help make that happen.
Tell me a little known fact about you, or something our members might find interesting!
I’ve accidentally become obsessed with Minecraft.
Thanks to Eitan and welcome!
